• Audiovisual materials (DVD, VHS, CD) may be checked out for 7 days.

• Overdue fines will still apply to reserve and inter-library loan items:

图书馆的历史

In 1900 Andrew Carnegie donated $25,000 to build a library to be named in honor of his friend, 大卫B. 亨德森, first speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from west of the 密西西比州. In 1902 爱荷华州 Governor Larrabee commissioned J. Massey Rhind to create two statues of 大卫B. 亨德森 – one bronze, the other in masonry. The original bronze statue, located on Main Street in Clermont, 爱荷华州, was used to make a copy for UIU’s statue by Max-Cast Foundry, Kalona, 爱荷华州. UIU’s statue was installed in 1994. The  masonry statue was done for the 路易斯安那州 Purchase Exhibition in St. 路易斯,密苏里州. and  shipped to 得梅因, 爱荷华州, for the State Museum in 1905. 这尊雕像被认为是存放在仓库中的物品，目前还没有找到.
